Drawings, Studies, Photography and Monotypes

Photography of my surroundings is a huge part of my process.  I then draw, sketch and experiment - filling sketchbooks full of ideas, shape, line and colour. This involves considerable hours of practice and happens long before I approach the canvas. This is work that is rarely seen, it is rather private and part of the process that results in paintings. All of it starts with a thought, feeling or emotion.
